STEVE MISIK & CO. – Schizoemphatic Review

STEVE MISIK & CO. – Schizoemphatic
Independent
Does music which is a form of art have any common ground with science? Yep, that’s an easy one for me. They have and it is called experimentation. If we didn’t have that, then we wouldn’t have any of the musical genres we love (including heavy metal). STEVE MISIK & CO. and their debut album is a result of such an experimentation.

The band was formed by musicians that have been performing on the Slovak and foreign (Spanish, American, English, Dutch, German, Czech, Hungarian, etc.) music scenes and they had as a purpose to create music that will know no boundaries. In a few words they wanted to mix many different styles in their sound in order to create something that will fulfill their creative needs. In order to achieve something like that and not end up sounding like a travesty, you need to “feel” the music you play and not do it on purpose and this is the element that makes this album really worthy to be listened to by you.

Here you will listen to an amalgam of sounds that range from hard rock, rock and metal to blues, funk and sometimes ethnic music. All these are bound together so well and the passage from one genre to the other comes so naturally that makes the whole album an experience that will stay in your mind for a long time.
I might be into traditional metal, but STEVE MISIK & CO. is a band that everyone can appreciate for its quality and ideas. Check them out…
